Composting soil creates rich organic matter that needs less water for crops. This method creates little disruption to the soil creating an abundance of beneficial microorganisms known as mycorrhizal fungi.

No till soil, rich in organic matter, provides higher nutrients to the plants which provide a more nutritious meal. Another positive aspect of soil rich in organic matter is the process of carbon sequestration/ nitrogen fixation. This process uptakes atmospheric nitrogen and ties it into the soil which the plant then uses for energy through its roots. Growing crops in this manner helps keep that excess carbon from the atmosphere.
